Dawn Maron In her words:

I was born in Portland, Maine but moved to Massachusetts by the time I was four.  Nevertheless, Maine was home to me every summer.  Holidays were spent with my grandparents, who lived in Gorham.  After college, I moved to Ohio to start a career in teaching and later, school psychology.  With three children and a full time job, there was little time to paint.

As soon as I retired, I began my journey into the painting world.  Fourteen years ago, my husband and I moved to Maine, and the painting began.  I have been fortunate to be inspired and tutored by a number of very fine artists. Each one of these generous people extended and deepened my ability to paint.  I take this opportunity very seriously, for it is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am now doing it.
