Welcome

The Wright Gallery, a Cape Porpoise landmark for thirty-six years, sits between the head of the Cape Porpoise harbor and the village center, just two miles from downtown Kennebunkport.  Our gallery boasts an eclectic mix of art, specializing in seascapes, landscapes, and paintings of local subject matter.

Displayed are the works of more than forty artists in a wide variety of styles, ranging from super-realism to impressionism, and much of what lies between.  We offer paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel; cut paper works known as Scherenschnitte; wood carvings and turnings; Trompe l’Oeil, original block prints, encaustics, and more.

We invite you to enjoy strolling through the two floors of our gallery, a building converted from a 19th century post-and-beam, originally used to house timber for the Kennebunkport ship builders.  The view from the second floor deck is always a treat!
