| Vanessa
Nesvig has been exhibiting and teaching in New England for over ten years.
She earned her B.A. from Boston University and the American College in Paris
in Art History. She studied with nationally known painters, Frank Federico,
PSA, NWS and Peter Seltzer, PSA (Best in Pastels 1&2) for eight years.
Moving to Maine in 1999, she became a member of Maine Women in the Arts,
The Pastel Painters of Maine( past treasurer and secretary)and the Art Guild
of the Kennebunks. ( membership committee). She was a board member of Laudholm
Trust for five years and served on their Painterly Day Fresh Paint Auction
committee for five years. From 2002 to 2005, she was Director of the Irvine
School of Art and Gallery in Kennebunk, Maine and now is coordinator of
Community Programs for The Portland Museum of Art. Her recent works are
inspired by the New England landscape and Asian themes and philosophies. |
